Lauryn Smith Photography Review
My husband and I got married in 2008, and we'd been together since the year before that. Unfortunately we have never had professional pictures done of each other and we have very few wedding pictures as well. So when Lauryn Smith agreed to a photo session in exchange for a review I was extremely over the top excited. This past Tuesday we were able to meet at River Legacy Park in Arlington and the experience was fantastic.
Lauryn is extremely professional and very outgoing and friendly. She arrived with her son who was absolutely adorable and kept Olivia smiling and laughing. Lauryn took her time getting some amazing angles and shots. Even surprising us with some of the images she got. Like the one at the top with the "ew" face has become one of the favorites everyone has seen, and we had no idea it would come out so cute!
Lauryn took time to take pictures on the bridge, against a fence, individual shots of Olivia, my husband, and myself, couples pictures (since she knew we had never had them done), and more. She took our suggestions of images just to make sure we were satisfied. I loved how she took the time to get pictures of our wedding rings, and even helped my husband get a great "Vape" shot seeing as he's a vape reviewer. Everyone who is in the vape industry whether working in it or blogging it should have a great shot of vapor coming out of you, am I right?
Another thing that really made me appreciative was Lauryn's patience with Olivia. One thing I know of my daughter is she tends to leer instead of smile. Or she will scrunch her face up but say "Cheese!" so it comes out looking very bizarre. Instead, Lauryn took her time and got as many pictures as possible. She informed me that in a 30 minute session she will take close to 1,000 images just to ensure you get the best ones. She charges $30 for 30 minutes, and you get several images with a print release included! Most photographers charge upwards of $50-$75 for a 30 minute session and you only get 5-10 images! The opportunities she has for families and individuals in DFW are fantastic.
