Spray Perfect "Perfect Purple" & "Racy Red" Review:

Spray Perfect™

I don't know about any of you, but I have a very hard time painting my nails. I'm left handed, so my right hand always looks like perfection "out of a salon" look. My left hand? Hah! Oh and don't get me started on the toe nails. I'm grateful that if I wear my socks for a day or two the nail polish comes off the skin around the nails! Spray Perfect is the perfect way to paint your nails without the hassle of keeping a steady hand, and with its easy rinse off it really is perfection in a can.

I received the "Perfect Purple" and the "Racy Red" cans along with the base/top coat to review. One thing I will say, the Racy Red was not sealed. I'm not sure why, but it works fine so not a big deal. Now, let's go over my usual routine painting my nails:

1) Scrubbing the nails and hands with soap and water.
2) Apply the first layer base coat on all nails. Wait 3-5 minutes.
3) Apply the second layer base coat on all nails. Wait another 3-5 minutes.
4) Apply the nail polish. Wait 3-5 minutes.
5) Apply second coat (See a pattern here?) Wait another 3-5 minutes.
6) Apply the top coat. Wait 3-5 minutes.
7) Apply the second layer of top coat. Wait 15 minutes before even attempting to move.

Total time (If 5 minutes each): 40 minutes

This is really not an exaggeration. Plus, we add on a minute or two while I screw up a nail on the left hand so badly i'm battling with the q-tip and remover to fix it again. Yes, this happens! Now, let's go over how to apply Spray Perfect:

1) Scrub the nails and hands with soap and water.
2) Apply the base coat layer to all nails. Wait 3-5 minutes.
3) Apply the spray to all fingers. Wait 3-5 minutes.
4) Apply the top coat. Wait 3-5 minutes.
5) Apply the second top coat (optional, but I always do). Wait 5-7 minutes.
6) Rinse off hands and fingers to get remainder of spray off.

Total time (If highest amount of wait): 22 minutes

Now, let's move onto the actual application. The base coat is just like any other base/top coat you would use on your nails. BUT, you definitely want to use this stuff. Then, you spray your hands!

Pardon the pudgy fingers, haha. Now there's a few things I'm not too keen about with this stuff but this is just me. The smell is very strong, so I would suggest doing this with good air ventilation and just have your pets/children not hang around you while spraying. The smell dissipates quickly, but can be a bit overpowering. Also, if you did not get the base coat on your entire nail, trust me, you'll know because the spray won't stick. Don't try to spray your nails again to fix this. I did this and I ended up with what looked like material wrinkles in the spray.

The colors really are vibrant and beautiful and I loved the end result! The spray lasts 3-5 days on your fingers depending on if you add another top coat every day. Which you should! No one else will have your colors, and right now for Halloween the Purple would be excellent as an accent to a witch costume. The red is going to go well on my daughter's fingers for Halloween as she's going for "Little Dead Riding Hood".

This was my first attempt at using the spray. You can see that around the nails, I hadn't really perfected my "base coat application" so the spray stuck to my cuticles and so on. I think if you have the means to make this perfect this is totally for you. I adore it, and instead of me painting my nails and then not doing them again for months because it takes so long, i'm constantly keeping my nails looking beautiful! You can currently buy this product for $19.99 plus shipping & handling, and they have plenty of other colors to choose from! So get yours today!

  1. Nice! I have the exact same problem with one hand (right handed) done better than the other and we're just going to skip the toenails altogether...lol I will most definitely give this product a try. I recently declared that I would stop biting my nails and keeping them painted has been a great way to keep up my efforts. Great review. Thanks!
