Lalaloopsy Tinies Jewelry Maker Playset Review

My daughter has not watched Lalaloopsy and yet she adores the toys. We were given the opportunity to review the Lalaloopsy Tinies Jewelry Maker Playset and it has really grown on me! Even I'm excited to play with it with my daughter!

The Ferris wheel comes with five different kinds of beads, two kinds of plastic string, and four "tinies" that my daughter refuses to put on her jewelry. Instead, she plays with them with all her other small "buddies" and I'm totally okay with that. The beads can go into the color coordinated cups on the wheel, but if you don't have a tiny in there you will be chasing beads...and I figured this out with a "Here's Your Sign" moment.

At first, you kind of feel like Lucy in the "sewing" episode, You thread the loop and then hold tight as you hit the button. The machine is a bit loud as it threads but it's really awesome to see the beads fill the string. My daughter liked it for a little bit, but she got bored waiting for all the beads to get on the string so I took over. I loved it myself, I at first thought she was too young to do this and I think in terms of attention span she is, but I think in terms of what she is playing with she is okay.

(You can see the small little rock castle that her tinies are in beside the wheel)

The string has to be cut you can't pull it to break it, and be careful not to cut too close to the knot you make. Yes, I did this and the knot unraveled immediately. So I had to re-tie quickly and it was awesome. The bracelet came out perfect compared to the necklace. She loves that she can run around with her jewelry and they don't break! I reviewed a pirate costume set before that came with a chunky necklace. The necklace was absolutely adorable and gorgeous! She went in her room, bent over, stood and it broke. This I hear her necklace bouncing around the beads shifting, and nothing! So I really think it's a great opportunity for kids to play with.

One negative I do see, is that the threads are not very much. You can see we've only made a necklace out of pink string, and a bracelet out of orange string and already you can see the center. I'm sure it'll last us a while because she doesn't play with this every day but I do think there should be more on there. I also think there should be more tinies, there's more than four cups on the wheel. But you know what? It's still an awesome toy!

This is definitely a MUST HAVE for Christmas if your daughter is into Lalaloopsy. I would suggest purchasing some extra Tinies, because once you use them unless you take apart all the jewelry pieces to re-use them, they're done. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this toy and I know other parents will be too!
