We moved to our small town back in 2016, and one of the things that I recently found out about was the Sherman Farmer's Market. I actually found out about it during another event that our small town does, a Christmas in July event that is based in downtown. After going over to the farmer's market, we came across Come and Bake It and WOW, they have some incredible delights. I'm so excited not only to support local businesses but to give you all a small taste of what we get to experience in our town!

Within the local area of Texoma (Based out of Bedford) is a fantastic company named Busy Mom's Bakery. The Bakery's owner Sheree is an at-home baker that specializes in many sweet treats from cakes to cheesecakes, cupcakes and even chocolate dipped fruits. I reached out to Sheree to discuss a review and I feel she went above and beyond what I could've ever expected!

Going to the movies has been a past time of families for many generations. From drive-ins to stadium seating, the experience going as a family to the movies has changed over time but is still just as thrilling as it has always been. Moviehouse & Eatery allows a classy form of going to the movies while still allowing the family experience with reclining leather seats, fantastic food and most of all, great movies on perfect screens!

Last year, we had an amazing opportunity to come to the Dallas Zoo and review the wonderful animals and location. Unfortunately, the monorail was not back up and running when we went but this year, we got the great chance to ride it and enjoy the zoo once again!

Every year at Christmas time, we love to go looking at Christmas lights. Out in Plano there's a few neighborhoods called "Deerfield" that are large, almost mansion style homes. They hire people to go all out on their houses making every single house sparkle and shine. But, I live in Arlington. To go out at night with a four year old and brave the traffic of Deerfield (45 minutes from home) and then drive back can be a nightmare. Prairie Lights is located in Grand Prairie off of Joe Pool Lake, and it was AMAZING!! I cannot wait for you all to read this review!

The Christmas Season is always one of the most "wonderful times of the year"...according to the great Christmas song. With beautiful attractions all over Dallas/Ft. Worth, you can't stay as grumpy as the grinch or as snobby as Scrooge. The Trains at North Park is a cute exhibit that benefits children through the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and we were lucky enough to be able to go and review it!

Sometimes the best opportunities for reviews come at the best of times. My daughter was having her fourth birthday party and we wanted it to be at Amazing Jake's. I'd already contacted them about possibly doing a review of their location, and they were wonderful enough to let me review their location for her party! In June, I was searching for a Summer Camp for our daughter who had at the time never gone to one. We've taken her to Kids Park once in a while but there is no real educational gain there unless you take them for the three hour period in the morning. With as far away as Kids Park is from us (almost 20 minutes), it would cost me almost as much in gas it would for the hourly rate for her to be there. I called First Presbyterian Preschool on the day they started, and the director Sandra was so wonderful to get Olivia in. After only two days there, we saw that this place was perfect.

As a parent, I have tried to find the best place for my daughter for preschool and I found that personally at First Presbyterian Preschool in Arlington. But the location is in the center of Arlington, and for those who live in South Arlington or Mansfield may be looking for quality, affordable childcare closer to their home. Kids Lodge Academy is a fantastic, colorful, and well-rounded development center that is focused on the growth and well-being of every child.
